Zee is also an important part of this story, and her story will be expanded as well. Poor Stefan seems to have become a scapegoat, at least in the last book and in this one. It appears that an enemy that Mercy thought was defeated, or at least contained, is back, causing death and mayhem. And for those who’ve been anxiously waiting to find out, the Sherwood Post’s identity is finally revealed.ĭue to her bonds with Stefan and more recently Wulfe, Mercy begins to have strange dreams that mostly bring back memories of the past, many of which are quite unpleasant. Not only is Wulfe gone, but with the help of the Goblin King Larry, they discover that the low-level magic users who moved to the Tri-Cities for protection are gone too. When Wufle disappears, Marsilia strangely warns Mercy, Adam, and the pack that if they don’t find him, there will be dire consequences for the entire supernatural community they’ve been protecting since parting ways with Marrok. Wulfe the crazy vampire/warlock has been stalking Mercy in his very special spooky form for a while now. I need to find out what’s going on before the next body on the floor is mine. The more I follow Wulfe’s trail, the more tortuous and darker the path becomes. Has the Harvester returned to the Tri-Cities and harvested souls with its cursed sickle?
